Lake Winnebago Kayaks
More than 200 kayaks and canoes traveled through the Menasha Lock and Dam to Lake Winnebago during the July 2006 annual Park-to-Paddle event. A record setting 152 boats packed into the locks before dropping 10 feet into Little Lake Butte des Morts. The colorful tapestry included all skill levels, beginners to advance, with a group of experienced kayakers and instructors making sure participants were having a safe trip. The eight mile route included sights of the scenic waterways of Appleton, Neenah and Menasha.
