Little Sable Point Lighthouse

The picturesque sand beach and pristine Lake Michigan shoreline are the perfect setting for the Little Sable Lighthouse. First activated in 1874 the 107ft tower was originally attached to a brick keepers dwelling. The 39 acres of the station are now part of Michigans Silver Lake State Park. It was a major coastal light for Lake Michigan shipping and remains an active aid to navigation. The overall beauty of the setting puts this lighthouse on my personal favorite to visit list.
