Grand Traverse Lighthouse
SKU: 5422
The Grand Traverse Lighthouse is located inside Leelanau State Park in Northern Michigan. It was built in 1858 at the tip of the Leelanau Peninsula to guide ships through the northern entrance to the Manitou Passage. It is one of the oldest lighthouses on Lake Michigan. The 2-1/2 story Midwest Victorian Keepers Quarters currently houses the Grande Traverse Lighthouse Museum. The extensive exhibits chronicle the lives and experiences of the keepers and those who sailed the lakes.
