Kewaunee Pierhead Lighthouse
SKU: 5176
The Lake Michigan Kewaunee Pierhead Lighthouse was originally only the fog signal building. The pierhead at the entrance to the Kewaunee River originally had a pair of range lights, and a steel shed that housed a fog signal. In 1931 the shed was expanded to include a new tower and light. The old front light was removed in 1931 and a new square tower was built on top of the fog signal building. This is the structure standing today. The tower is 45 feet tall and resembles the "Big Red" Harbor Light in Holland Michigan.
